AFAF Announces Plans for 2011 Golf Classic
American Friends of our Armed Forces announced it will hold its 7th Annual Golf Classic on Monday April 11, 2011 at Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells, California. AFAF’s 2010 golf classic was also held at Toscana and raised more than $100,000 for programs that support American troops and their families. Registration details will be available November 2010.

29 Palms Marine Corps Community Services Receives $100,000 in AFAF Program Support
AFAF announced plans to provide several grants totally more than $100,000 to fund programs provided by Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) to marines and their families stationed at the Marine Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California. The programs reach thousands of marines deployed in Afghanistan and their families remaining at home. Click below for details of the individual programs.

4th Annual Adopt A Marine for Thanksgiving Plans Announced
Working with Single Marine Program representatives at the Marine Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California, AFAF announced plans for its 4th Annual Adopt A Marine Program for Thanksgiving 2010.  AFAF arranged in 2009 for 52 marines to spend Thanksgiving Day with families in Coachella Valley Cities. Program details will be available in late October 2010.

Injured Marine Semper Fidelis Fund Awarded $20,000 Grant by AFAF
American Friends of our Armed Forces recently announced it has made a $20,000 grant award to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. The fund, started in 2003, provides injured service members and their families with immediate financial aid and quality of life solutions. Areas of coverage are financial needs that arise during hospitalization and recovery.
